This month Nike salutes American icon; Jackie Robinson.

Robinson was the first African-American Major League Baseball player of the modern era, thus "breaking the color barrier" and inspiring these shoes.

Robinson's arrival in Major League Baseball had a major cultural impact beyond sports, and helped to shape the subsequent Civil Rights Movement.
